Obituary: Jeffrey Sorak, 62; Formerly Of Milford
Jeffrey was an active member of the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, devoted family man and a longtime dedicated employee of the USPS.
MILFORD, CT - (From West Haven Funeral Home) Jeffrey Sorak, age 62, of Ansonia passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 7th, 2022. For 40 years, he was the loving husband of Eileen Hunt Sorak.
He was born in Bridgeport on December 22, 1959, son of the late Dan & Marie Serini Sorak. He is also survived by his devoted children, Matt (Daniel Gamero) Sorak of Newington, Bryan Sorak of Meriden and Ashley Crowther of Naugatuck, his adoring grandchildren Louis, Eloise and Joseph Crowther, his sister Dana (Greg) Wellner of Seymour and Kenneth Sorak of CO.
Jeffrey grew up in Milford CT, and graduated from Jonathan Law HS, class of 1977 and later pursued a degree in accounting at the University of Bridgeport, Class of 1985.
He was a devoted USPS employee for 35 years, had a passion for all sports, and was known for having an encyclopedic knowledge of all different types of trivia.
He was a faithful fan of The Mets, The Beatles and Disney.
Jeffrey was active with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, serving as a former Treasure and Financial Advisor.
The hours for visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4-7pm at the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green. A funeral service will follow at 7pm at the funeral home.
Interment will be private.
