Obituary: Mark F. Dunleavey, 65, of Milford
Mark, a devoted family man, leader and mentor in the community, was a master floor finisher and owner of MF Dunleavey Floors since 1980.

MILFORD, CT - (From Cody-White Funeral Home) Mark F. Dunleavey, 65, of Milford, beloved husband of Deborah (Nichols) Dunleavey, entered into eternal rest on August 5, 2021.
Born on December 19, 1955 in Bridgeport, he was the son of the late Thomas and Anna Dunleavey.
Mark was a graduate of Central High School in Bridgeport, CT and attended Housatonic Community College.
He was a Master Floor Finisher and owner of MF Dunleavey Floors LLC since 1980.
Mark’s life centered around his faith in Jesus which reflected all he did at home, work, community and family.
He was a leader and mentor at Higher Ground Ministries and Bridgeport Rescue Mission for many years and attended Trinity Baptist Church and Huntington Chapel.
His hobbies included golfing, playing pinochle, spending time with family, grandchildren and friends. He loved his music and played several instruments. He also loved swimming, bike riding and a day at the beach.
Along with his beloved wife, Mark leaves behind his children, Patrick (Danielle) Dunleavey, Philip Dunleavey, and Michael (Nina) Rapuano; grandchildren, Zachary, Riley, and Maddie Dunleavey and Skyler and Michael Rapuano; siblings, Janice (Karl) Kikuchi, Laurie (Barry) Cuda, Anne (Jerry) Eisenman, Russell Dunleavey, and Linda Dunleavey; sister-in-law, Sharon (William) Fedor; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was predeceased by his sister, Ellen Tiara and brother, Paul Dunleavey.
Family and friends may gather from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at the Cody-White Funeral Home 107 Broad Street, Milford, CT 06460.
A Funeral Service will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at Grace Baptist Church, 400 Burnt Plains Rd., Milford (MEET DIRECTLY AT CHURCH).
Interment will follow at Saint Mary Cemetery, Buckingham Ave., Milford. Memorial contributions may be made to the Higher Ground Ministries, 1 Field Street, Seymour, CT 06483.
