Obituary: Mary E. Jodon, 85, of Milford

Mary, an avid traveler and golfer, served as head of the Respiratory Therapy and EKG Department at Milford Hospital for many years.

MILFORD, CT - (From Cody-White Funeral Home) Mary E. Jodon, 85, of Milford, beloved wife of the late Paul K. Jodon, passed away at home on June 22, 2021.

Born on September 18, 1935 in Westhampton, NY, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Mae Butler.

She married the love of her life in 1956 and went on to raise a family. When her children were older she went back to college and became a Respiratory Therapist. At her retirement she was head of the Respiratory Therapy and EKG Department at Milford Hospital.

Mary enjoyed traveling and seeing new places. She was an avid golfer and enjoyed social activities with friends.

She loved to knit and donated many blankets to local causes. Mary loved to read, especially mystery novels.

Mary’s life was centered around family and she loved being a mom and a grandma. Mary leaves behind her children, Traci (Brent) Iott and Michael (Wendy) Jodon; grandchildren, Nicholas and Kevin Iott, and Aileen, Michael, Jr., and Margaret Jodon; great grandson, Oliver William; and extended family and friends.

She was predeceased by her brothers, William and Henry.A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Saint Mary Church, 70 Gulf St., Milford.

Interment will follow at Kings Highway Cemetery, 271 Cherry St., Milford.
