Obituary: Patricia A. Auger, 75, of Milford

Patti, known as adventurous, independent and strong, enjoyed a long successful career in the dental field.

MILFORD, CT - (From Cody-White Funeral Home) Patricia A. Auger, lovingly known as “Patti”, 75, of Milford, beloved wife of William J. Auger III, passed away peacefully on December 15, 2021 surrounded by friends and family.

Patti was born on February 22, 1946 in Torrington, CT to the late Joseph and Phyllis Northrup.

Despite living most of her life in Milford, Patti traveled the world with her beloved husband of over 50 years.

Adventurous, independent, and strong, Patti graduated from Milford High School and received an associate of science degree from the Fone School of Dental Hygiene, University of Bridgeport.

Her career in dental hygiene spanned private practice as well as Milford public schools.

A talented artist, Patti’s many paintings adorned her seaside home.

Patti and Bill were accomplished sailors and won first place for celestial navigation to Bermuda. Much loved and long-time fixtures of Laurel Beach and the Housatonic Boat Club, recently Patti and Bill and their cat Leo began to spend the winters with dear friends in Ft. Myers, FL.

She is survived by her beloved husband, William; daughter, Marybeth Howlett; grandson, Benjamin Joseph Howlett; siblings, Joseph E. Northrup, Jr., Maribeth Theresa Semmons, Diane Mary Northrup, and Michael Frances Northrup. She is predeceased by her parents, and her sister, Helen Mary Northrup.

Services are private.
