Obituary: Raymond Daniel Black, Sr. 82, of Milford
Ray, an avid fisherman and devoted family man, proudly served in the U.S. Army and worked at Magnetec for many years.
MILFORD, CT - (From Cody-White Funeral Home) Raymond Daniel Black, Sr. 82, of Milford, beloved husband of Anne (Abbott) Black, passed away on May 27, 2021. Born on June 18, 1938 in Boston, MA, he was the son of the late Maynard and Ester Black.
Ray worked at Magnetec in Bridgeport, CT after being honorably discharged from the Army. Besides being a wonderful person, friend, husband, father and grandfather, he was an avid diehard fisherman.
In addition to his wife, Anne, Raymond is survived by his children, Raymond D. Black, Jr. and Leigh Anne (Black) Tompsen; his grandchildren, Raymond D. Black, III, Sarah Jo Black, Annemarie Nicole Tompsen, and Ryne Scott Tompsen. He was predeceased by his brother, Maynard Black.
All services will be private.
