Obituary: Richard “Rick” A. Hayes Jr., 43, of Milford
Rick was the proud coach of the Connecticut Angels. He loved baseball, family, friends and his dogs LuLu and Delta.
MILFORD, CT - (From Cody-White Funeral Home) Richard “Rick” A. Hayes Jr., 43, of Milford, CT passed away on Wednesday, December 1, 2021. He was born on December 19, 1977 in New Haven, CT.
He was the son of Richard and Madelyn (Stokes) Hayes. Rick attended high school at Joseph A. Foran and is a graduate of Southern Connecticut State University.
Rick loved baseball and was a very proud coach to the Connecticut Angels.
In addition to his loving parents, Rick is survived by his sister, Alycia Campbell, and his niece, Kelsey and nephew, Ryan; his aunts, Mary Lou Mayerick and Paula Griffie; uncle, Jerry Hayes; and several cousins, including Peter Stokes, Andra and Doug. Also, his “adopted” family, George Baranowsky and family, The Sauro family, and the Shea family.
He also leaves his beloved dogs, LuLu and Delta, his “girls.”
Lastly, Rick is predeceased by his dog, Ellie.
Friends and family may call from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at the CODY-WHITE FUNERAL HOME, 107 Broad St., Milford, CT.
After calling hours, a gathering will be held from 7 p.m. to 8:30 pm. at The Plate, 587 New Haven Ave., Milford, CT. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice.
