Obituary: Thomas R. McNemar, 55, of Milford
Tommy was known as a gentle giant, funny, hardworking and with a heart of gold. He cherished his family, his cats, dogs and the Red Sox.

MILFORD, CT - (From Cody-White Funeral Home) Thomas R. McNemar, 55, of Milford, beloved husband of Karen Driscoll McNemar, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 31, 2021.
Born on August 8, 1966, in Bridgeport, he was the son of the late Clara Piccioli McNemar and Thomas F. McNemar.
Tommy was a graduate of Kolbe Cathedral High School and Sacred Heart University.
He worked for the last 12 years as a licensing agent at the DMV for the State of CT. Tommy was a devoted family man and loved his family and friends dearly.
He was incredibly proud of his daughter and was known to call out after she performed, “That’s my kid!”
Tommy loved the beach and to vacation in Wildwood with his family. He jokingly called himself, “The man from tan”. He was an avid Red Sox fan and claimed he helped break the curse in 2004.
If you needed to learn how to drive, specifically park or back up, he was your guy. He taught many people how to drive and many kids how to ride a bike.
It brought him immense joy to teach others. If anyone ever needed to buy a new car, he was the one you asked to find out ANY information, about ANY car on the market.
He recently developed a love of finding a bargain on online auctions for items for his home. He found a grill once for $4.00. He did a happy dance.
This gentle giant was funny, hardworking, could entertain a crowd of strangers, loyal, stubborn, opinionated and had a heart of gold.
He is survived by his wife Karen Driscoll McNemar, his daughter Sarah McNemar, aunts, uncle, cousins, nieces, nephews, his dogs Roxie and Delilah and cats Sparkle and Blinky.
He is predeceased by his mother Clara Piccioli McNemar, his father Thomas F. McNemar and his sister Sharon McNemar.
The family is being compassionately cared for by the staff at Cody-White Funeral Home 107 Broad Street, Milford, CT 06460. Visiting hours will be held at Cody-White Funeral Home on Friday, January 7th from 5 to 8 pm, with Services at 7:15 pm.
