Obituary: Vincent F. Viera, 87, of Milford
Vincent proudly served in the U.S. Army before working for the Nike Ajax Missile Military Program, Norden's in Norwalk and Pitney Bowes.

MILFORD, CT - (From Cody-White Funeral Home) Vincent F. Viera, 87, of Milford, beloved husband of Joyce D. Viera, passed away peacefully on February 14, 2021.
Born on January 7, 1934 in Boston, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late John J. and Annie S (Furnans) Viera.
Vincent grew up in New Bedford, Mass.

He moved to Providence, where he met his wife, Joyce. He joined the US Army and was trained as an electronic technician.
He relocated to Milford, CT in the late 1950’s to work on the Nike Ajax Missile Military Program. Vincent then moved on working at Norden’s in Norwalk, CT followed by Pitney Bowes until his retirement.

Vincent and Joyce were married for 65 years and remained in Milford, raising their six children.
Vincent is survived by his children, Ronald A. (Jean) Viera, Kenneth P. (Lisa) Viera, Doreen L. Viera, Linda A. (Michael Szostek) Viera, and Elaine M. Viera; grandchildren, Charissa, David, Ronald, Vincent, Alexander, and Casey Anne; and many extended family and friends.
He was predeceased by his wife, Joyce, son Stephen P. Viera; and grandchildren, Annie and Christopher.
Vincent enjoyed many vacations with his wife and family including Cruises in the islands, trips to Hawaii, and visiting family in Maine.
He will be remembered as an incredibly smart, loving person, teaching his children everything he knew about gardening, auto and home maintenance, travel, and investing.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at 1:30 p.m. at Saint Mary Church (Precious Blood Parish) 70 Gulf St., Milford.
Due to gathering restrictions, the church is limited to 100 people inside at a time and masks are required.
The family is being compassionately cared for by the staff at Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad St., Milford, CT.
