Obituary: Virginia Rose Hoagland, 88, of Milford
Virginia, a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, worked many years for Saint Mary's Church and School and was very active in the community.

MILFORD, CT - (From Cody-White Funeral Home) Virginia Rose Hoagland, 88, of Milford, beloved wife of the late William H. Hoagland III, passed away on March 6, 2022. Born on February 6, 1934, in Milford, CT, she was the daughter of Jennie and Joseph DiBiase.
Virginia graduated from Milford High School. She was a stay-at-home mom before working for Saint Mary’s Church and School for 32 years before retiring.
She was an active member of St. Mary’s Guild for many years. Other groups she was active in was the JC Wives, Milford Historical Society, and Herb Crafters.
Her most important talent to everyone was her cooking, and baking, everyone loved everything she made.
Virginia leaves behind her children, Rosanne Hoagland, William (Kim) Hoagland IV, Robert Hoagland, and David (Linda) Hoagland; grandchildren, William Hoagland, V and Haley Hoagland; her sisters, JoAnn DiBiase Farnen and Jeanette DiBiase DeWitz; and many many friends.
She was predeceased by her husband and brother, Michael Joseph DiBiase.
Family and friends may gather on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Cody-White Funeral Home 107 Broad Street, Milford, CT 06460.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at Saint Mary Church (Precious Blood Parish), 70 Gulf St., Milford.
Burial will follow at Saint Mary Cemetery, Buckingham Ave., Milford.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Mary’s Church or Milford Historical Society.
