Obituary: Walter T. Sova, Jr. 94, of Milford
Walter, an avid Polka fan and devoted family man, proudly served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
MILFORD, CT - (From Cody-White Funeral Home) Walter T. Sova, Jr. 94, of Milford, beloved husband of the late Alice Griffin, passed away on May 28, 2021. Born on July 27, 1926 in Plymouth, PA, he was the son of the late Walter T. and Alice (Victor) Sova, Sr.
Walter proudly served his country in the United States Navy during World War II. He enjoyed Polkas and caring for his family. He will be greatly missed.
Walter is survived by his children, Michael (Crysten) Sova, Sharon (Donald) Schroeder, and Gail (Stephen) LaScola; his grandchildren, Christopher, Adam (Liberty), and Jonathan (Lidia); his great granddaughter, Anya; his sisters, Lillian Holly, Carol (Donald) Holly, and Geraldine Doyle; his lady friend, Barbara Morrison; and many nieces and nephews. Walter was predeceased by his brothers, Eugene and John.
A Funeral Service with Military Honors will be celebrated on Friday, June 4, 2021 at 12 p.m. at CODY-WHITE FUNERAL HOME. Interment will be private.
Friends and family may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 3, 2021 at the CODY-WHITE FUNERAL HOME, 107 BROAD ST., MILFORD, CT.
