Obituary: William D. Klink III, 62, of Milford

Bill was a dedicated employee of Encon for 46 years, a loving family man and an avid sports fan.

MILFORD, CT - (From Gregory F. Doyle Funeral Home) William D. Klink III passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Saturday, February 12, 2022, at the age of 62.

Bill was born in Milford on February 25, 1959 to the late William D. Klink II and Jean (Hilkene) Klink.

He was a devoted husband of 41 years to his wife, Jeannie (Johnson) Klink and loving father to his four children. He graduated from Platt Tech High School in 1977.

Bill worked at Encon for 46 years, which became a second family to him. He was an avid Jets, Mets and UConn fan.

He loved going to games and tailgating with his family. He also enjoyed vacationing in Maine every summer.

Bill is survived by his wife, Jeannie and children, Keri Klink (Kevin Gibbons) of Guilford, Alicia Klink of Guilford, Jaime McClave (Cody McClave) of Thomaston and Ryan Klink of Milford.

He is also survived by his sister, Patty Johnston (Randy Johnston) of Milford, along with many nieces, nephews and three granddaughters, Kori Jean Gibbons, Emma Grace McClave and Harper Elizabeth McClave, whom he loved dearly.

Bill is predeceased by his parents, his sister, Kathy Schulte, as well as his beloved dog, Molly.

His family would like to thank Vitas Hospice Healthcare for taking such great care of Bill in his final weeks.

Family and friends may call on Thursday, February 17th from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in The Gregory F. Doyle Funeral Home, 291 Bridgeport Avenue, Milford, CT.

A funeral service will be held Friday, February 18th at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. A private burial will follow.
