SOUTHERN CONNECTICUT — The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for southern Connecticut on Monday because "There is a slight risk of flash flooding tonight."

It looks like another rainy day and two more inches of rain could fall before the rain is forecast to end on Tuesday morning. Wind gusts may approach 30 mph too on Monday.

WFSB 3 TV Meteorologists Jill Gilardi with Scot Haney said, "You can expect widespread and locally heavy rainfall this morning. Additional rainfall amounts will range from .50″ to 1.5″ through the day today. Locally 2+ amounts can’t be ruled out which could cause localized flooding. Rain lingers across CT through the early evening hours."
