Patriots Owner Invited Milford Man To Game After Viral Video
A video of Patriots fan Jerry Edmond reacting calmly to an angry fan went viral. Edmond was invited to the owner's box for the next game.
MILFORD, CT — Milford resident Jerry Edmond got to spend Christmas Eve in the New England Patriots owner's box after a video of him calmly reacting to a heckling fan went viral.
The Patriots lost 30-24 to the Las Vegas Raiders Dec. 18. A belligerent Raiders fan yelled in Edmond’s face for more than 30 seconds before another fan pulled her away.
Edmond later tweeted that it was his first NFL game.

“I didn’t want to ruin my experience by retaliating towards that women so I kept my cool,” he tweeted.
Edmond lives in Milford and graduated from Central Connecticut State University, according to the Connecticut Post.

Patriots owner Robert Kraft presented Edmond with a custom jersey and invited him to watch the Christmas Eve game from his owner’s box.
“I’ll tell you, what you did was so classy, and you represent what our whole franchise is about, building bridges” Kraft said to Edmond.
Edmond said it was a moment he would never forget.
“Words cannot express how grateful l am for this experience. I want to thank @BabzOnTheMic , @patriots , and everyone that was so kind to me and pushing this story out there with their comments I will never forget this moment. Thank you . God Bless you all and Happy Holidays,” he tweeted.
