Restaurant Employee 'Seriously Injured' In Fight: Milford Police

Police said the overnight "disturbance" they recently investigated was an altercation between two co-workers at a pizza restaurant.

MILFORD, CT — Police have released information on a "disturbance" they investigated overnight last week, saying it was an altercation between two co-workers that ended in serious injuries.

On Wednesday, Jan. 19, police said they had responded to a disturbance in the area of Naugatuck Avenue and Broadway overnight.

In a Facebook post today, police called the incident an "altercation" between the only two employees still on the premises of Alfa Pizza at around 2:30 a.m. that day.

The altercation escalated, police said, causing one employee to suffer "serious injuries" for which he is still being treated.

Police have been unable to interview the injured man so far, but they said the other employee stayed at the scene and has been cooperating with investigators.

"Our investigators are still working to determine exactly what happened between the two," police said. "We are hopeful that we will be able to provide a more precise update soon."
