Special Weather Statement Just Issued For Southern Connecticut

SOUTHERN CONNECTICUT — The National Weather Service has issued a special weather statement for southern Connecticut on Monday afternoon.

At 1:29 p.m., the weather service wrote: "...Slippery Travel Into This Evening...Light snow will continue through 3 pm. Most roads remain wet, but a few may briefly become snow covered. Temperatures remain below freezing across the area so any untreated surfaces may become icy and slick into the evening commute. Use extra caution while traveling this afternoon and evening."
