"This presents an areawide minor urban, poor drainage, and low-lying flooding threat, as well as a quick responding minor river flood threat early Friday morning into Friday evening.
"A conditional isolated to scattered flash flood threat exists if model scenarios depicting 3 to 5 inches of rainfall develops over the area. Confidence is low on this latter scenario at this time," the weather service said.
According to the National Weather Service, the rain should arrive before daybreak Friday and continue throughout the day and night and lasting into at least Saturday morning.
The area may also see thunderstorms on Friday afternoon and night. The good news is that Sunday looks dry, with sunshine returning and warmer temperatures too.
