UPDATE: Construction Worker Dies While Working at Naugatuck High School
The accident occurred in the upper student parking lot of Naugatuck High School Wednesday afternoon.
UPDATE: The Naugatuck Police Department is investigating the death of a construction worker that occurred at about 1:30 PM in the Millville Avenue parking lot located in the area of Lorann Drive.
The lot is owned by the Borough of Naugatuck and the company the victim was working for at the time of the accident was sub contracted for tree removal services, police said.
The circumstances leading up to the accident are being investigated by the Naugatuck Police Department and OSHA.

Original story: An active emergency presence is at Naugatuck High School, investigating an accident involving construction equipment at Naugatuck High School.
According to the Naugatuck Police Department, the accident occurred in the upper student parking lot. Police, the Naugatuck Fire Department and Naugatuck Ambulance personnel responded to the scene.

“A worker was involved and was transported to a local hospital due to injuries,” police said. “His condition is unknown. No other workers were injured and no school staff or students were involved.”
Naugatuck police will remain on scene to investigate the incident. Students are able to remove vehicles from the lot at the end of the school day.
