Fire Breaks Out At Home In Naugatuck: FD

The American Red Cross is providing assistance to two adults following a house fire in Naugatuck over the weekend.

NAUGATUCK, CT — A fire broke out Sunday night at a home in Naugatuck, according to fire officials.

In a Facebook post around 7:30 p.m., fire officials said crews had been called to house fire on Neagle Street.

Smoke could be seen emitting from the side of the house in a photo posted by the fire department.

No injuries were reported. Crews from Beacon Falls and Prospect provided assistance, fire officials said.

Naugatuck Emergency Medical Services and fire police were also called to the Neagle Street area Sunday night, according to fire officials.

The American Red Cross is providing assistance to two adults following the fire and provided a recovery envelope containing information helpful to families recovering from a fire, including tips on cleanup, notification of important contacts, dealing with damaged items and more.

The organization said it is also providing comfort kits containing personal care items such as deodorant, toothbrushes, shaving supplies and other items a resident might need when suddenly displaced from their home by a fire.
