Naugatuck Artist Housing Plan Loses Support from Officials
Another developer might be getting in the way of the execution of Seymour-based architect's plans.

Joseph Migani, a Seymour-based architect who hopes to build 96 studio-style apartments for artists in the former General DataComm building downtown, feels local officials no longer support his project because they are counting on another developer to renovate the property, the Rep-Am reports.
Migani’s Art6 project on the 320,000-square-foot building at 6 Rubber Ave. will continue to move forward at the architect’s wishes, even though officials said last week they won’t extend an option on the property for another six months, the Rep-Am reports.
A one-month hearing extension was granted at Migani’s request because he believes the Naugatuck Economic Development Corp. hasn’t given him a fair chance to complete his project or raise the appropriate funds, the Rep-Am reports.
