Naugatuck Chamber Announces 2026 Lewis A. Dibble Sr. Award Recipient

The Naugatuck Chamber will present its 2026 Lewis A. Dibble Sr. Award during its annual meeting later this month.

NAUGATUCK, CT — The Naugatuck Chamber will present John McCormack of State Farm Insurance with its 2026 Lewis A. Dibble Sr. Award later this month, the chamber announced Monday.

According to a news release provided by the chamber, McCormack will receive the award during the organization's 104th annual meeting on Jan. 28 at the Crystal Room in Naugatuck.

The award is presented annually in recognition of an individual's outstanding contribution to the business and socioeconomic well-being of Naugatuck, according to the chamber.

McCormack established his State Farm office in Naugatuck 20 years ago and has remained deeply engaged in the community ever since, according to the chamber.

McCormack is an active member of the Rotary Club of Naugatuck, serves on the Naugatuck YMCA Board and is a former board member of the United Way of Naugatuck & Beacon Falls.

He also supports local organizations, including the Naugatuck Food Bank and Jane Doe No More, and volunteers monthly delivering food boxes to seniors in Naugatuck, according to the chamber.

McCormack's dedication has been recognized through several community honors, including the Mary Connolly Community Caring Award from the United Way of Naugatuck & Beacon Falls (2022) and the Jeffrey Witherwax Community Leadership Award from the Naugatuck YMCA (2023), according to the chamber.

The chamber's 104th annual meeting will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
