Naugatuck HS Architects Chosen to Design Tuttle House Transformation

The Tuttle House will be transformed into a museum for the Naugatuck Historical Society.

Kaestle Boos Associates Inc., of New Britain, the same architectural firm that designed the ongoing Naugatuck High School renovation project, has been invited back to oversee the transformation of the Tuttle House Board of Education into a museum for the Naugatuck Historical Society, according to the Republican-American.

Once the high school on Rubber Avenue is finished, which is expected to be in November, the school administrators who now work at the Tuttle House, located at 380 Church St., will move into one of the school’s wings, the Rep-Am reports.

Extensive changes for safety need to be made to renovate the museum, and with funds totalling $850,000, some of the changes will have to be made in phases, the Rep-Am reports.
