Naugatuck Police Sergeant Receives Promotion
A Naugatuck police sergeant was recently promoted to a new role as the department's midnight shift sergeant.

NAUGATUCK, CT — Naugatuck police announced this week Elvis Vasquez, a five-year veteran of the department, was recently promoted to a new role as midnight shift sergeant.
Police congratulated Vasquez on his promotion in a Facebook post Thursday.
Vasquez was raised in Waterbury and has been with the Naugatuck Police Department since 2019.

According to police, Vasquez has demonstrated exceptional leadership and dedication throughout his career, serving as a field training officer, member of the Traffic Unit, certified hostage negotiator and vice president of the police union.
Vasquez earned a political science degree from the University of Connecticut and a degree in organizational leadership from Quinnipiac University.
