New Music Teacher Hired For Naugatuck Elementary Schools
Naugatuck Public Schools has announced the hiring of a new music teacher for two elementary schools in town.
NAUGATUCK, CT — Naugatuck Public Schools recently announced the hiring of a new music teacher for two elementary schools in town.
In the third in a series of "new teacher introduction" Facebook posts, district officials announced Connor Reese has been hired to teach music at both Andrew Avenue and Salem elementary schools.
"Connor is no stranger to Naugatuck as he grew up here," the post reads, "and we are so excited to have him on our staff!"

In late August, the school district announced Nicole Portalatin has joined the staff at Maple Hill Elementary School as a fourth grade teacher.
According to the district, Portalatin is also an eight-time flag football champion.

In early September, NPS officials announcemed Cassie Ortiz has joined the staff at Hop Brook Elementary School, where she will teach special education.
The district also noted Ortiz is a past Paraeducator of the Year award winner.
