Connecticut Lottery officials note they now withhold full winner names without written consent to better protect players from scams.
   

• Man Accused Of Shoplifting, Resisting Arrest At Naugatuck Walmart: Police (patch.com) — Police say a man was arrested at the New Haven Road Walmart in Naugatuck after alleged shoplifting and resisting officers, with an infant present in the stroller used to hide items. The Waterbury resident also had an out-of-state warrant and now faces several charges, including risk of injury to a child, after being held on a substantial bond and appearing in court.
   

• Suspect in Naugatuck laundromat break-in linked to several Connecticut burglaries, cops say (middletownpress.com) — A Hartford man already facing charges in a Naugatuck laundromat break-in is now suspected in several other Connecticut burglaries, according to police. Investigators say surveillance video, license plate readers and a distinctive minivan helped link the Naugatuck case to incidents in Stratford, Cromwell, Danbury and East Hartford, with more charges from other departments expected.
