No.

Previous public office, appointive or elective:

Yes, I currently sit on the Naugatuck Board of Education.

Why are you seeking this office?

I am running for a second term on the Board of Education to maintain accountability and high standards for our teachers and our students. I am also focused on the significant fiscal challanges our district is facing and while the decisions are not always easy to make, it's important to have people at the table who will put our children and their education at the forefront.

The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is ____, and this is what I intend to do about it:

The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is rebuilding trust and transparency between the Naugatuck community and our schools.

Parents and taxpayers want to know that our schools are prioritizing student achievement, fiscal responsibility, and open communication. Too often, families feel left out of important decisions about curriculum, spending, and classroom priorities.

I’ll also focus on responsible budgeting to make sure taxpayer dollars go directly to the classroom, supporting teachers and students, not administrative overhead. We need to put the focus on what truly matters — preparing Naugatuck’s students for success.

What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?

I bring a common-sense, community-focused perspective and will always listen to parents, teachers, and taxpayers before making decisions. I’m running to make sure our schools focus on strong academics, responsible budgeting, and open communication with families

What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign?

During this election cycle the Board of Education is tasked with one of it's most important responsibilities: hiring a superintendent for our district. I am and will continue to be fully engaged in this process as it will impact all of our children.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?

The past two years the Board of Education has faced some of its most significant budget challenges. There was nothing easy about the choices we were faced with and those we made. I am absolutely confident that I supported every single one that kept the students and staff the focus with the least impact to them and the classrooms.

What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?

Don't do or start something if you aren't prepared to put in 100% effort.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about yourself and your positions?

I will always strive to do what is best for the students, faculty, and community.
