Book Explorers, Fall Physician's Speakers Bureau, Police Chief Interviews

Hey New Canaan, it's another warm one, with temperatures predicted to hit a sunny 71 degrees. The temperature should drop to a clear 50 degrees, according to Weather.com.

At the New Canaan Library, second and third graders can join in the fun with Book Explorers, which kicks off at 4:15 p.m. Those interested are asked to register, check here for details

The Stamford Hospital and New Canaan YMCA will be presenting "How to Live to be 100" on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at the New Canaan YMCA at 564 South Avenue. This free event is part of their Fall Physician's Speakers Bureau and will feature insight from a Stamford Hospital Cardiologist. Advanced registration is required as seating is limited. On Thursday at 1:15, the two organizations pair up again for "Take Control: Help for Women with Bladder & Pelvic Problems" with a Stamford Urogynecologist. Same restrictions apply

The Police Commission will be conducting interviews for the position of Chief of Police Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. at the police department during a special session, then will head into a regular meeting at 6 p.m. At 7:30 p.m., there's a Town Council meeting at the New Canaan Nature Center.
