Coaches Are Unanimous On Top Team In Final Field Hockey Poll

A panel of coaches voted on the top high school field hockey teams in Connecticut following the state tournaments.

CONNECTICUT — The exciting action has concluded, three champions have been crowned and a panel of field hockey coaches has voted on the top high school teams in Connecticut.

Class L champion New Canaan received the top nod from all seven coaches. The rams had a perfect 16-0 regular season, outscoring opponents by an incredible 92-3 margin, then swept through four games in the state tournament with a 9-2 scoring advantage.

3-time Class M champion Guilford placed second in the balloting, while Class L runner-up Wilton was third.

Also receiving votes: Valley Regional, Hall, Granby, Thomaston, Greenwich, Ridgefield, Cheshire.
