Community Ice Rink Opens For Third Season In New Canaan

An open air rink officially opened for skating this week at Waveny Park in New Canaan, according to the town.

NEW CANAAN, CT — The Boucher Community Ice Rink, an open air rink located at Waveny Park in New Canaan, officially opened for skating Wednesday, marking the start of its third season.

According to the town website, the rink will offer plenty of open skate time, skating lessons and availability for birthday parties and private events this season.

Skate rentals are available for both kids and adults so everyone can join in the fun.

Group, semi-private and private skating lessons are also available for a variety of ages and skill levels.

The following open skate hours, weather permitting, were provided by the town:

  • Monday (non-holidays): Closed
  • Tuesday & Thursday: 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Wednesday: 12 p.m. to 3:15 p.m., 5:15 p.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Friday: 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Saturday: 12 p.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Sunday: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
