Complaint Filed After Family Says Michelle Troconis Was Strip Searched: Report

Troconis is serving a prison sentence in connection with the death of Jennifer Farber Dulos.

NEW CANAAN, CT — The family of Michelle Troconis has filed a complaint with the state Department of Correction after she was strip-searched before a visit by one of her sisters, the Greenwich Time reported.

Troconis is serving a 14-and-a-half-year prison sentence in connection with the disappearance and death of Jennifer Farber Dulos, and her family contends that the strip search, which had not been performed before previous family visits, was inappropriate.

She is serving her sentence at the York Correctional Institution in Niantic.

In addition to the DOC, the Troconis family also reportedly filed a complaint with the Department of Correction ombudsman.

An investigation into the incident is underway; Troconis' father, Dr. Carlos Troconis, reportedly filed the complaint in May.

Jennifer Dulos vanished from her New Canaan home on May 24, 2019, and is presumed to be dead. Her remains have not been found.

Jennifer's estranged husband, the late Fotis Dulos, was arrested on charges of kidnapping and murder in connection with the case, but he never stood trial. He died in late January 2020 after a suicide attempt.
