Country School's Visual Arts, Maker & Coding Programs: Come Learn More

Parents are invited to join us Thursday, Feb. 2 from 9-10 a.m. for coffee and an overview of the hands-on, experiential curriculum.

Parents are invited to take a peek inside the school's Innovation Space Thursday, Feb. 2 from 9-10 am and see how New Canaan Country School students use their design thinking skills to tinker, create, build and problem-solve in age-appropriate ways.

The Pre-K through Grade 9 day school believes that one of the best ways for students to learn is by doing, by using their hands to express their ideas. Often they must try, fail, regroup and try again. This process lays a foundation for a lifetime of constructive problem-solving, innovative collaboration, and creative resilience that will allow them to face future challenges head-on. They also have a ton of fun doing it!

Join Visual Arts, Maker and Coding teachers to learn about how they develop the essential skills of today and tomorrow: coding, ideation, flexibility, creative problem solving, critical thinking and collaboration by designing classes that are active, playful and mentally challenging.
