CT Premier Rising Hope Documentary & Live Director Q&A- 10/29, 5, 7:30

The film will be screened at The New Canaan Playhouse on Tuesday, October 29, with showings at 5:15 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Each screening will be followed by a live Q&A with Avgerinos and participants featured in the film. Filmgoers are invited to continue the discussion at a reception in the theater’s upstairs bar area.“This is more than just a documentary—it’s a testament to the enduring human spirit in the face of historical and social inequities,” says Avgerinos, whose filmmaking roots trace back to his time at New Canaan High School. This documentary was inspired by his New Canaan Congregational Church Youth Group 2000 trip to Indianola, Mississippi.
