Dog's Owner Sought By New Canaan Animal Control

New Canaan Animal Control is looking for the owner of a small dog who bit a person in town over the weekend.

NEW CANAAN, CT — New Canaan Animal Control is looking for the owner of a small white dog who bit a person in town and ran away late Sunday afternoon.

In an email provided by New Canaan police, Animal Control Officer Allyson Halm said the incident happened around 4:30 p.m. in the area of Ponus Ridge Road and Bennington Place.

According to Halm, the person was trying to remove the dog from the road at the time of the incident. The dog was wearing a black electric fence collar, Halm said.

New Canaan Animal Control is looking for the owner to confirm if the dog is rabies vaccinated, Halm said. Anyone with information that could lead to finding the dog is asked to contact animal control 203-594-3510.
