Francesco “Frank” Donato Piselli, 86, of Milford, beloved husband of the late Maureen Piselli passed away on July 28, 2025. Born on July 27, 1939 in Settefrati, Italy, he was the son of the late Mario and Olimpia (Socci) Piselli.
Frank will be remembered as a devoted husband, passionate community member, and kind-hearted soul whose legacy touched many lives. After immigrating to the United States in 1957, he met the love of his life, Maureen, at citizenship school—a serendipitous beginning to a lifelong partnership. In 1964, they made their home in Milford, where Frank would plant deep roots. A longtime employee of BIC, he dedicated over 30 years before enjoying two well-earned decades of retirement. Frank had a love for the simple pleasures of life: daily walks, the beauty of classical piano, cooking delicious meals, reading, and following his beloved game of soccer. His dedication to youth and sports was profound, as he was instrumental in founding Milford United Youth Soccer and served as a coach, inspiring countless young players. He found joy during his retirement living in Salisbury, CT and in traveling back to his home in Italy, always carrying with him a deep appreciation for family, heritage, and community. Francesco’s warmth, passion, and enduring spirit will be dearly missed.
Frank is survived by his cherished children, Donato and Carlo Piselli; his beloved daughter-in-law, Alicia Piselli, his grandchildren, Nicholas, Nolan, Lucas, Caden, Tessa, and Cornelia; his siblings, Antoinette, Filomena, Maria, Nello, and Lina; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins in the U.S. and abroad. Francesco was predeceased by his brothers, Orazio, John, and Roberto.
