Hazardous Weather Outlook Issued for Light Snow, Bitter Cold for New Canaan

The National Weather Service is also predicting more snow is possible for late Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for the potential of 1-2 inches of new snow accumulation beginning after midnight tonight and continuing into Thursday morning’s commute.

The snow will be more of a nuisance than anything else, but we’re soon running out of places to put the snow as most places have between 2 and 3 feet of snow already on the ground.

After Thursday’s very light snow, the story turns to the bitter cold that will be hitting the area. On Thursday temperatures plummet from the high 20s all the way down to zero or 5 above at night.

The wind chill factor will make it feel like its 5 below zero Thursday night.
