New Canaan Schools Important Calendar Dates To Know: Early Dismissals, Spring Break

NEW CANAAN, CT — As families continue to celebrate the holidays, here is an updated look at the New Canaan Public Schools calendar for the remainder of 2025 and the 2026 school year.

You'll notice the holiday break extends from Dec. 23 through Jan. 4. Students returns to school on Jan. 5, 2026.

There is a winter break on the calendar that includes Presidents' Day from Feb. 16 - 20. There is also a spring break from April 6-10.

The tentative last day of the school year is currently June 17, but that could change depending on how many snow days there are.

New Canaan Public Schools remaining key dates to be aware of:

• Dec. 23 (half day) - Jan. 2: Holiday Break (No School)
• Jan. 19: Martin Luther King Jr. Day (No School)
• Feb. 13: Professional Learning (No School for Students)
• Feb. 16 - 20: Presidents' Day and Winter Recess (No School)
• April 3: Good Friday (No School)
• April 6 - 10: Spring Break (No School)
• May 19: Kindergarten Orientation (Early Dismissal K)
• May 25: Memorial Day (No School)
• June 17 (half day): Last Day of School
