New Canaan residents are weighing in on the contested Town Council race in New Canaan. The field has 5 Republicans running for 4 seats. Kimberly Norton is a incumbent on the Council. She lives in town in a hundred year old house, and cares about keeping downtown thriving. Today, she was out compaigning at the New Canaan Transfer Station with her husband Bill.

Hear what residents have to say:

"I’ll be voting for Kimberly Norton for Town Council on principle. As a member of the NC Republican Party, I found the caucus process troubling. A “cool kids” table of four emerged—effectively boxing Kimberly out of a fair nomination. That kind of gatekeeping undermines the integrity of the process and disrespects the commitment of candidates who genuinely care about our town. This isn’t the first time it’s happened. Kimberly has. shown unwavering commitment to our community and its taxpayers. .I’m happy that Kimberly chose to persevere. Her decision to run despite the politics speaks volumes. She has my vote."
