Letter: No Natural Gas for New Canaan
A letter from Eversource says the town is saying no to natural gas.
NEW CANAAN--Eversource shared its disappointment that New Canaan will not be using natural gas for the town.
In a letter published on NewCanaanite.com, Paul Zohorsky, Vice President of Operations at Eversource, said the company is "disappointed to learn that the Town of New Canaan decided to abandon plans to switch to natural gas for the entire community, and instead pursue a propane system for only town and school buildings."
Over the past two years, the town and utility company have been in discussions about switching to natural gas, according to the letter.
