NEW CANAAN, CT — New Canaan Animal Control recently launched a campaign to reward dog walkers who comply with town ordinances.

According to the department's Facebook page, Animal Control Officer Sean Godejohn recently launched the "Do The Right Thing" campaign to remind dog walkers in New Canaan to keep their dogs on a leash in public places and town parks.

Throughout his time patrolling in town, Godejohn will reward several compliant dog walkers with a small token of appreciation for having a positive community impact, according to the town.
