New Canaan Battle Of The Bands Event Raises Money For Meals on Wheels
Gates Restaurant and Bar kicked off 2023 by hosting a battle of the bands event and raising money for Meals on Wheels in New Canaan.
NEW CANAAN, CT — Gates Restaurant and Bar in New Canaan kicked off 2023 in style by hosting their fourth annual "Battle of the (cover) Bands" event and raising money for Meals on Wheels.
According to a news release provided by Rock Paper Scissors Custom Events, four finalists —Captain Obvious, Herman & Company, Mind The Gap and Rock Paper Soul — performed Feb. 4.
Mind The Gap ultimately won the battle based on their rendition of "Don't You Forget About Me" by Simple Minds. On Friday, a check for $4,300 was presented to Meal on Wheels in New Canaan.
