New Canaan Dog Days Event To Support Adopt-A-Dog, Nature Center
The annual community event will kick off Pet Pantry Warehouse's community-based signature event lineup and feature many family activities.

NEW CANAAN, CT — Pet Pantry Warehouse announced this week its signature event lineup for the year starting with the annual New Canaan Dog Days event Saturday, May 4, from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m.
According to a news release provided by provided by Pet Pantry Warehouse, the event will feature activities that include an "Ice Cream Pawlour," Pet Pantry Bone Bar, "Sniffari," Doggie Beer Garden, Dog Lovers Lure Coursing and more. Also back again this year are two scavenger hunts hosted by Rock Paper Scissors Custom Events.

Before the Dog Days event, 'Paws in Stores' is back for a second year with a Star Wars theme, "May 4th Be Woof You." Register on Eventbrite for a free downtown scavenger hunt that will take participants and their four-legged family members into downtown New Canaan stores.

Paws in Stores participants will be looking for hidden Star Wars characters. Once completed, participants will be eligible to win a Pet Pantry goody bag and more.
The 'Tails on the Trails' scavenger hunt will also happen at the Dog Days event. Anyone interested can pick up a trail map from the Rock Paper Scissors Custom Events table at the event and walk the self-guided trail at their own pace.

"We have a great time organizing these free events for the community," Pet Pantry Warehouse Executive VP said in a news release. "These events create a space for the community to connect and enjoy our incredible outdoor areas. Our signature events are mainly created to give back to our local non-profits but also to build and strengthen the communities we serve."
Other events include Fairfield Dog Days on June 23, Puttin' on the Dog on Sept. 22, Fairfield Harvest Market on Oct. 19 and Howl & Prowl on Oct. 27.
Along with fun and entertainment, attendees will leave with bags full of free pet food products and toys. The event will be held rain or shine.
