NEW CANNAN, CT — The New Canaan Food Revolution will return to town Saturday morning between 9.30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.

This year, all ticket proceeds will go to The Sunshine Kids, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping children with cancer.

The "food trail" was originally created to encourage kids of all ages to sample small bites and feel confident about trying different foods. Now the entire family or groups of friends love to do it, according to Rock Paper Scissors.

At the Rock Paper Scissors check in, located at Berkshire Hathaway, guests will be given a wristband and a passport map to leisurely follow on foot. Participants then earn a stamp for everything they taste.

In previous years, parents have been amazed to see their children's food barriers broken down as they try everything from marmite to kale shakes and pork vindaloo.

Those who turn in their completed passport will be entered into a live prize drawing. Every single participant will receive a "bravery certificate" for at least trying.

"Kristen and I were delighted to see so many participants last year after the [COVID-19] break," Co-Organizer Rachel Lampen said in a news release." We think it simply works because it's outdoors, easy to navigate with a strong community feel. It's a lovely way to spend the morning."

With up to 14-stops, guests will taste food from Chef Prasad, Greenology, Fjord, Plum Plums, Gates and Barvida to name but a few. Located at Berkshire Hathaway will be Mama Hu's Sushi Bake, Grace Farms Food, Forever Sweet Bakery, Eastdoosra and Walter Stewart's Market.

Tickets are limited to 150 and are available to purchase in advance here at $10 per person.
