NEW CANAAN, CT — The New Canaan fire, police and human services departments are hosting kids' coat and toy drives for local children in need.
According to the town's Facebook page, residents are encouraged to sign up through the town website to be paired with a child for both drives.
The town will then send details to residents so they can make the child's holiday extra special, either through donating a cozy winter coat or a festive toy.

The fire, police and human services departments are also hosting a Santa Run for Human Services clients, and residents can help by donating a special toy.
