New Canaan To Host Document Shred Day Event
New Canaan residents are invited to "bring their sensitive documents to be securely shredded to prevent identity theft and fraud."
NEW CANAAN, CT — The town will host a "shred day" event later the month at the town Transfer Station, located at 394 Main Street in New Canaan.
According to the town website, the shred day event will take place Sept. 20 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., during which residents can "bring their sensitive documents to be securely shredded to prevent identity theft and fraud by ensuring confidential information is destroyed."
The following items are prohibited during the shred day event, according to the town:
