New Canaan Man Faces DWI Charge
Police said the driver was stopped by an officer who knew the man's license was suspended.

A New Canaan man is facing a driving while intoxicated charge after he was stopped for driving with a suspended license, according to New Canaan Police.
It was 1:42 a.m. Feb. 13 when an officer patrolling on Park Street saw a vehicle being operated by a man who he knew had a suspended driver’s license, according to a police report.
When the officer stopped and spoke with the driver, the officer detected the odor of alcohol emitting from the man’s breath. Police said Frank Polozani, 33, of Locust Avenue, New Canaan, was arrested after police had him perform field sobriety tests.

In addition to the DWI offense, Polozani also was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended operator’s license. Polozani was released after posting a $250 bond and given a Feb. 24 court date.
