New Canaan Now Offering Parking Alerts
New Canaan has expanded its communications outreach to include notifications about town parking, according to town officials.

NEW CANAAN, CT — Town officials announced this week New Canaan has expanded its communications outreach to include notifications about town parking.
According to a news release provided by the town, this has been added to the New Canaan Alerts program launched in April 2024 that includes the first selectman's newsletter, information about emergencies, road closures, tree work, police activity, fire prevention, local health issues and more.
Residents who want to receive notices about parking permits, lot closures, street parking, changes in parking regulations, parking fees or any of the town matters listed above can sign up on the town website.

Every local resident and businessperson is urged to visit the town website, register contact information and select the topics of information they would like to receive from the town.
Residents may choose to receive the alerts by email or text. Voice phone calls are used only during true emergencies and disasters, according to town officials.

Once a resident has registered, they can change their selections, delete their account or unsubscribe at any time, town officials said.
