New Canaan Parents 4 Kids Brings 'Pop Up Park' to Life

Coming up is the Young Entrepreneurs Fair 2016 on Saturday, Aug. 27 from 4.30-6.30 p.m. at the Pop Up Park.

In the midst of the 7 Days of Family Fun at the Pop Up Park, we take a breath to recall how our downtown livened up with smiles, engagement, heart-to-heart sharing and making of new friendships. The Pop Up Park turned into our own backyard for entertaining with pretty flowers, fountain and lights. A comfortable, yet exciting space brought to life by events by New Canaan Parents 4 Kids!

Latin rhythms were reigning on Monday with Latin Moves Dance Studio. People of all ages joined in to share the joy of dance.

Lou Lopez, owner of Latin Moves Dance Studio, taught a fun merengue class.

Tuesday saw a funky jazz class from New Canaan Dance Academy and a lot of talent from the Studio.

Cast members from the NCHS production of Annie performed and taught Hard Knock Life.

Games, dance demos, poetry reading, flag and martenitsa making were apart of the International Social with New Canaan International Ladies, Chinese Language School of Fairfield County and the generous support of Tea-rrific ice creams and Trimona Bulgarian Yogurts.

We have the communal artwork and New Canaan song rhythms created at the events to carry these unforgettable summer memories into the new season. Also coming up is the Young Entrepreneurs Fair 2016 on Saturday, Aug. 27 from 4.30-6.30 p.m. at the Pop Up Park. Visit us and support our young entrepreneurs. Bring your child to try our Make and Sell table, where they can do exactly that on the spot.
