NEW CANAAN, CT — Police urge New Canaan residents to always "lock" their car or risk "losing" their vehicle.

In a recent Facebook post, police said they want residents to remember a five-word slogan each time they leave their vehicle or home unattended: "lock it or lose it."

According to police, it only takes a second for residents to make sure their vehicle is locked and, by doing so, keep their property safe.
