New Canaan Residents Finish 2022 Boston Marathon

NEW CANAAN, CT — Nine New Canaan runners competed in the 2022 Boston Marathon on Monday. Nearly 25,000 runners finished the marathon, including more than 350 from Connecticut.

Everett Hackett, 32, of Hartford was the top Connecticut runner at 50th place with an official time of 2:24:56. Laura Pierce, 40, of Woodbridge placed 127th among women and 2,251st overall with a time of 2:55:41.

New Canaan runner Sarah Hanses, 39, finished the race with an official time of 3:13:37, according to the Boston Athletic Association. Sloan Alexander, 45, finished with an official time of 3:16:43.

Yong-Son Basta, 58, of New Canaan, finished with an official time of 3:20:01. Maureen Chiodo, 42, finished with an official time of 3:20:09.

Lindsay Sellers, 44, of New Canaan, finished with an official time of 3:30:24. Hiran Cantu, 55, finished with an official time of 3:34:01.

Thomas Robey, 62, of New Canaan, finished with 3:39:02. Moira Cassidy, 62, finished with an official time of 4:18:08, and David Keeffe, 65, finished with an official time of 5:37:08.
