New Canaan’s 8th Food Revolution

Helping Sunshine Kids

The New Canaan Food Revolution, sponsored by Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices New England Properties and produced by Rock Paper Scissors Custom Events returns on Saturday, May 20th between 9.30–11:30am. This year ALL ticket proceeds will go to The Sunshine Kids – a non-profit organization dedicated to children with cancer.

The fun ‘Food Trail’ was created to encourage kids of all ages to sample small bites and feel confident about trying different foods. The starting point is Berkshire Hathaway, 98 Park St, New Canaan.

At the check in desk, you will be given a wristband and a passport map to leisurely follow-on foot. Participants earn a stamp for everything they taste. In previous years, parents have been amazed to see their children’s food barriers broken down as they try everything from Marmite to Kale Shakes and Pork Vindaloo.

Those who turn in their completed passport will be entered into a prize drawing. Every single participant will receive a BRAVERY CERTIFICATE for at least trying. Co-Organizer Rachel Lampen, Rock Paper Scissors says “Kristen and I were surprised to see so many participants last year after the covid break. We think it simply works because it’s outdoors, easy to navigate with a strong community feel. It’s a lovely way for a family to spend the morning.”

There will be up to 15 food stops. Chef Prasad and Mama Hu’s Sushi Bake were the first to sign up. Special thanks to Walter Stewart's Market who have supported this from the offset and media sponsor Kathy, CT Kids and Family who will be giving out magazines at the event.
