NEW CANAAN, CT — The town asks New Canaan residents to consider dropping off a $100 Walmart gift card to the Human Services Department for local families in need this holiday season.
According to the town website, residents can "make a meaningful difference in the lives of local families" this holiday season by donating a $100 Walmart gift card, which will help provide gifts and essentials and bring "joy and comfort to children and their families during this special time of year."
Donations can be dropped off at the Human Services Department, located at 77 Main Street in New Canaan, Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Town officials also noted those who contribute will be spreading joy and making a positive impact in the community while helping ensure every New Canaan family has a memorable and cheerful holiday season.
